As we write this we are in the midst of decorating, refurbishments and awaiting our annual inspection ,hopefully we'll retain our 5* Gold status in the Barns, 4*in the Farmhouse as it hasn't got an en-suite . Willows is getting a new colour scheme and soft furnishings this Spring and we have just updated all tellys in all the cottages..

We have seen some glorious sunrises this week and also some crystal clear skies .With so little light pollution here on Roseland the stars and the night skies here can be simply awesome....sadly we don't have the lovely Brian Cox in a cupboard ,  but we do have binoculars here you can borrow and books on the night sky.........Tim caught this rather gorgeous sunrise last week just standing outside WILLOWS cottage so imagine waking up to this view...Check Availability here for all 2012 weeks and cottages.

We have a few new arrivals to our farm animal family and our own .The donkeys Philip and Percy have wintered weel,Dotty the dog has joined us, three new pygmy goats arrived who love children and are already coming up to the gate at feeding time, we are trying to find some more piggies and the ducks and chickens are all here as normal.Children of all ages still love the daily animal interaction and feeding round with Farmer Tim.....

We'll do our best  to make your holiday special and give you a proper break.... and if that means a Full Monty Farmhouse Breakfast Platter delivered in or maybe just a simple Supper after a busy day out and about see more detail here on Farmhouse Meals .We love to get the chance to do a bit of spoiling so do let us know if your time here is part of a special celebration be it birthday, honeymoon, wedding, anniversary.... we'll make cakes,provide help with organising flowers ,taxis, venues,, and for super duper dinner parties or for cooking if we are not here or able, we recommend prebooking local chef Jamie of Beetham Food who will deliver a fantastic meal to you..

One of and our  firm favorites is the National Maritime Museum and they launch a new exhibit in March on Search and Rescue

Falmouth Spring Festival kicks off on 17-25 March 2012 ,a feast of local food, events and festivities

 Fal River Festival  This fantastic 10 day festival is a not-for-profit community festival which encompasses over 150 events varying from music & drama, the arts & heritage to gig racing, swimming, walking & lots more.

Last summer saw the opening of  Hidden Hut Beach Cafe on our local beach Porthcurnick,  a quick 20 minutes via the footpath or less than 5 mins in the car.Somewhere simple and lovely....  homemade cakes, brownies, drinks,simple lunches to eat on the beach, open daytimes from March 25th weather permitting...their occasional evening feasts were a huge success ...and they now have the website above where you can pre-book ( and you will need to)... big pans of homecooked food, served al fresco, you just take your own wine and plates and a chair... ( there's no indoor seating ).... the Hut's Paella evening was featured this week on Caroline Quentin's Cornwall on ITV... and we were all there ... fab night

Don't forget .... if you come without a car we will pick you up from the station, we'll give you a free arrival supper and help out with a box of supplies to get you going... if you come with an Electric Car we have a FREE to use Fast Charge Point here and if you want to make use of the Ferries to Falmouth we'll keep subsidised tickets for you to use... and we have loads of timetables and ideas for CAR FREE days out ... its really quite easy....
